Experian and Kingfisher Working Together to Provide Auctions with a Solution 01/08/02

Experian's E-series

Experian and Glasgow based Kingfisher Systems (Scotland) Ltd have jointly developed a system which will provide auctions with the ability to carry out vehicle provenance checks in a new way. Experian have built an XML link which feeds data between Experian and Kingfisher’s “Auction Manager” software, allowing the auctions direct access to data.

By simply entering a VRM into their auction system, it is possible to identify whether a vehicle has been stolen or involved in a total loss prior to sale. Once sold it is possible to carry out a full history check thereby giving the peace of mind that a full Experian Gold Check provides.

Ian Fisher, Director of Kingfisher says ‘E-series provides the motor auction industry with a unique real time vehicle identification solution. Previous solutions relied on post sale vehicle checking leading to cancelled sales due to inaccurate information being advertised at time of sale. E-series provides the auction with full vehicle information at the start of the sale process allowing any issues to be resolved at the earliest opportunity. The product makes use of the latest internet technologies providing unrivalled ease of use and speed of response. A successful motor auction operating in today's market place needs to provide its client base with fast accurate information in many different formats. Experian’s E-series is central to the delivery process.’

Mark Wilkinson, Sales Manager with Experian says “Through working closely with both Kingfisher and our auction clients we have helped develop a unique system which saves time and ensures our clients receive market leading information in a more flexible format”
