Experian and Glasgow based Kingfisher Systems (Scotland)
Ltd have jointly developed a system which will provide
auctions with the ability to carry out vehicle provenance
checks in a new way. Experian have built an XML link
which feeds data between Experian and Kingfisher’s
“Auction Manager” software, allowing the auctions
direct access to data.
By simply entering a VRM into their auction system,
it is possible to identify whether a vehicle has been
stolen or involved in a total loss prior to sale. Once
sold it is possible to carry out a full history check
thereby giving the peace of mind that a full Experian
Gold Check provides.
Ian Fisher, Director of Kingfisher says ‘E-series
provides the motor auction industry with a unique real
time vehicle identification solution. Previous solutions
relied on post sale vehicle checking leading to cancelled
sales due to inaccurate information being advertised
at time of sale. E-series provides the auction with
full vehicle information at the start of the sale process
allowing any issues to be resolved at the earliest opportunity.
